Beraście Lawyer Calls in Questions Elections Results to Council

Beraście activist of ‘Belarusan Helsinki Committee’, Ihar Masloŭski is intended to demand cancellation of election results in election district #7 where numerous violations were observed. He had been waiting for a reply from Beraście voblast election commission for his appeal to cancel the results.

According to the activist the voting was organized with serious violations of the Election Code. The same appeal was submitted to the prosecutor’s office of Leninski district of Beraście. He demanded to take measures and to punish those guilty for these violations according to the legislations.

According to the civil activist he did not receive a direct answer. The Commission stated that there were no facts of legislation violations that influenced that voting results.

Nevertheless I.Masloŭski is going to appeal to Beraście voblast prosecutor’s office for new investigation of this case.
